You can never have enough Leads!

I started with AMCS in December of 2017, so I’m relatively new to the company and had no previous experience in the Waste Management & Recycling sector. I was excited to get the chance to build the Inside Sales team in Europe from scratch, as this was a job function that AMCS had never had before, despite their history of growth and success since 2003.

Prior to coming to AMCS, I had been the Inside Sales Team Lead for a high-growth networking software start-up for 6 years, and before that I worked as an Account Manager at a PCB manufacturing company, also for 6 years.

This is a very dynamic time for AMCS as it makes the transition to being a full SaaS provider, with all of the challenges that market brings with it. Of course there is pressure to succeed and achieve ambitious sales targets, but there is also a great team of very experienced and capable people at the company who are all working together to achieve common goals. I really enjoy the sense of comradery and fun at AMCS HQ in Limerick, and moving to our ultra-modern new office buildings recently has been a real boost for everyone.

The main focus of the Inside Sales team is to generate new leads and develop more business through prospecting activities, so I get to speak to many different people every day with differing requirements at companies of all shapes and sizes. I manage a team of 2 other Inside Sales representatives and work closely with the Field Sales people on the ground around Europe as well as the Marketing team. To begin with, the Inside Sales team focused on the UK & Ireland market for AMCS, but I will soon be turning my attention to Germany and France and look forward to putting my language skills to good use there!
